For all of those who are looking for jobs in game industry but inGameJob isn't helping - here's a game company map you can click on and go through one-by-one to see if anyone has open positions, or you can send them your portfolio etc. anyway.
Share to help someone desparate.

I have received a negative response from one company that did a final round interview with me at the end of August. That was a long time to receive news, but at least that removes a lot of uncertainty I was facing.
It also means that this is no time to get complacent and that I need to continue my job search with renewed energy. Here are some posts I've made about myself about what kind of things I can do:

Quick summary: I'm a polyglot programmer (Python, C++, Node.js, Rust, to name a few), native to the Linux command line but flexible to use any other environment. I have worked with databases and AWS and compilers and linkers and message queues and git and mercurial and clouds and docker and containers and continuous integration. I can design, I can debug, I can teach, I can mentor, I can build, I can deploy, I can monitor. I've been doing all of this stuff for a while.
Thank you!

Figured I'd give this a shot
I'm seeking employment in the software space to start immediately after graduation spring 2024
I have a BS in software engineering already and will have a MS in computer engineering by the time I've graduatedI have had internships in Android app development and react/azure fullstack web development
I also have special interest in UI/UX, embedded C, and databasesMy soft skills are excellent as well
I am extroverted and sociable yet easygoing and not overly competitiveI'm trying to escape Iowa's anti-trans legislation and move to Chicago where i have supportive friends and family, so I'm looking for a job there, but a remote job will do the trick as well
If anyone can land me a referral or point me in a good direction, I'd massively appreciate it!

Oh, yeah. I'm feeling ready to more publicly talk about this.
I'm looking for a job.
I'm pretty good with the codes. The Python codes, the C++ codes, the Node.js/Javascript codes. Getting up to speed with the Rust codes right now and having fun doing it. I know databases and caches and message queues and continuous integrations and clouds and assemblers and compilers and debuggers and linkers and unices. I can build, I can document, I can debug, I can design, I can test, I can teach, I can mentor, I can analyse, I can reverse engineer. You get forward engineering too, but I don't have an engineering degree. Been doing this for a while. I'm on the older side of things.
Pretty good with numbers too. If for some reason you want me to solve a partial differential equation, I'm on it. I can also do stats and I'll do it even if you prefer to call it data science.
I live in Canada, so that's where I need to get hired. I prefer remote, but if you want me to go into an office, it's going to have to be in Montreal.
Let me know if you'd like to see my serious face and I'll send you my CV.
