Our #TTRPG group tried #Hillfolk tonight, using the #UnderHollowHills setting.

Not sure we can recommend it to folks. We all really enjoyed the characters we created and were having fun playin them, but the #DramaSystem mechanics left most of us cold. We tried to make it work, but I think it was a failed experiment. Too much focus on pushing story forward and a resolution system that was unnecessarily convoluted.

It needed one person pushing a story forward instead of us taking turns crafting a scene and trying to create drama. It felt artificial and forced.

As a thought exercise it might be interesting, but it wasn't the right system for our group.

I was thinking of doing a one shot #hillfolk/ #dramasystem evening with the NPC crowd the party has encountered (enslaved dwarves primed to revolt. I think it would be awesome if the players developed the community leaders their #DnD characters have just met). I've finally manage to start GMing a game of #DramaSystem using #TheGoodPlace as a setting. Tonight we created the characters and we've already had such a blast! Besides, it's always a joy and honour to welcome newcomers to the #ttrpg hobby, people who got there with some DnD expectations about #rpg and who end up excited by a completely different approach. @robindlaws @pelgranepress #Hillfolk
