  5. Sometimes being a councillor can be fun. Today I went to Inverness Dog Daycare for a photo op as Highland Opportunity (Investments) Limited, a company owned by the council which I chair, has loaned them £25,000 to help them get their new business started.

I had a great time meeting both the owners' and some of their customers' dogs and got thoroughly sniffed and licked!

  6. #HighlandCouncil has been leading the way in #Scotland on the introduction of #20mph limits across all our urban areas.

Meanwhile in #Wales data for the first full quarter following introduction of the 20mph default speed limit have revealed a 32% reduction in casualties on restricted roads so that's good to hear.

  7. Cllr Derek Louden talking about the legacy of the Tories' dreadful #RightToBuy Scheme at #HighlandCouncil on Thursday.
