Highlights from our high-altitude balloon flight OH3HAB #9. The weather conditions at different altitudes varied heavily: from tiny snowflakes to rain and then back to sunshine! Flight landing spot was perfect: right next to buildings at a farm!

Horusdemodlib v0.6.0 has been released. This is the official release of Horus Binary V3 which introduced ASN.1 UPER encoding, allowing for operators to utilise the high performing modem we've all loved while now have the ability to produce highly customisable telemetry in sizes from 32 bytes to 128 bytes!

I cannot express how amazing this is, how well it works, and how much work from multiple people went into making this happen.

Now: The 32nd finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity ( #wośp ) the #hab #highaltitudeballoon has taken off from Wroclaw and is broadcasting with callsign SN32WOSP (on #sstv at 144.500MHz) photos that were prepared by people who won charity auctions from which all the profits go to WOŚP.

Back in 2014 I flew a high-altitude balloon. I never made the video public because I thought I’d get a copyright strike and it would be taken down, but it turns out they’ll let me leave it up, I just can’t earn revenue from it (not like I’ve ever earned a penny from any of my videos).

An artistic experiment, during which graphics made during the project will be broadcast, as well as short audio files. In addition, during the mission, music, sounds and utterances will be broadcast from a speaker mounted in the capsule, which will be recorded by a camera in the stratosphere.
