Just had hiccups from eating a banana. I have always had a tendency to get hiccups over very little, all my life. But a few years ago I got a magic thing. I am not affiliated with them, I just want to save fellow hiccupers from the chest pain. Get one of these, they just work.
I have a couple, one for home and one for work. Stops hiccups in seconds. Amazing invention.

Pro tip: if you #hiccup when you have water in your mouth, briefly and carefully (to prevent a spill) open your mouth to allow the carbon dioxide to escape before swallowing the water. That way, it won't hurt your throat when you swallow because you're not also swallowing CO2.
