  1. Hype for the Future 104K: The National Forests of Michigan

Introduction Within the State of Michigan, three (3) distinct national forest zones exist serving notable roles throughout the scope of the community. The national forests in question are the Huron-Manistee, Hiawatha, and Ottawa National Forests, with the three distinct national forest zones offering unique perspectives on the general area of the Northwoods region of the Upper Midwest. 2. I just published a new #blog article on how to configure #Hiawatha webserver to protect a #cgit instance with #Anubis.

I may be the only one with this setup, but just in case, here are some details on how to achieve it πŸ˜„

(⚠️ answers to this toot will appear on my blog as comment as well)

  3. Last night, there was something wrong with the #Hiawatha train set when I took the Hiawatha from Chicago to Milwaukee, so they had us on the #Borealis train set (a two-level train with a lot more legroom). I had never been on that second platform before. #Trains #Milwaukee

  4. I finally succeed to put my cgit instance behind #anubis. Let's hope it will be sufficient.

I'll try to publish a blog post about my config soon (I'm still using #hiawatha, what make the whole thing a bit unique I guess)

  5. Reportedly the #Amtrak #Borealis ridership is "high enough that Amtrak is considering another daily train" (Greta Kaul of the Star Tribune paraphrasing the Ramsey County Board Chair). I'm hoping that's actually a meaningful statement, since adding train service is typically so challenging to do in the US.

They'll likely aim to extend another #Hiawatha. The trips in Blue here would be ones that would benefit from the track improvements being made in Winona to La Crosse

  6. #Vss365 (#Gardener's version)

Aside from the #SchoolShooting, May had never heard of Marjory Stoneman Douglas.

She was surprised to learn she'd been born in MN. Her mother was a concert #Violinist. Hearing her dad read "The Song of #Hiawatha" reduced her to tears & was her earliest memory.

A South Florida #Conservationist, Marj wrote in her seminal #Book, The #Everglades (1947):

"[There are] #Gardens of branching corals... [with] angelfish & #PARROTFISH... Shell creatures are everywhere."
