I'm well aware of #Iran's desire to see the destruction of #Israel, but that has been true since the state of Israel was created.This sudden escalation.... lobbing missiles into Israel... is new. And it has to do with #Netanyahu's policy of trying to resolve the crisis using purely military force.
His goal is "nothing short of the total destruction of #Hezbolah". #Neocons don't get that you can't "destroy" an idea with bombs & bullets.

A: B/c of #Netanyahu's failed handling of the crisis (b/c the only way #neocons know how to deal with a situation is to use military force.)

Does anyone know if the Bazzi family have requested that Australia not pursue #Israel about the deaths of Ali and Ibrahim, and Ibrahim's wife, in Lebanon?
That's the only valid reason to just let it slide.

But I got more angry. Until then we could only assume that the #IDF were aiming at something or someone else, war often kills random innocent bystanders. Bit him being in an enemy military means it was probably DELIBERATE! And they know how many people are in homes when they do this, five is apparently fine to kill (according to a +972 article).
Indonesia killed two of the #Bali9 but they got a trial before their execution! and no innocent family members were shot with them!
The #IDF routinely completely ignores any rules of engagement by killing targets in their family homes, this is not ok!
Israeli officials and spokespersons count these as combatants, but they're not! A guy sitting at home with his brother and his sister-in-law is NOT a combatant! It doesn't matter what he did yesterday or what he's doing tomorrow, he's not a combatant!
That's just an extra judicial execution, with some murder on the side!
I can find nothing about #AliBazzi in either language, except where and when he was killed. It seems extremely unlikely that this one random Aussie was pivotal enough to warrant killing his family?

If I see one more person sharing that clip (from a 2009 documentary on him) of Normal Finkelstein shouting about his family who died in the Holocaust to argue against any actions by Israel without noting the following things about him, I’m going to scream:
- He’s said that Holocaust denialism should be taught in universities by a denialist (free speech absolutionists always like this ‘devil’s argument’ argument)
- He’s expressed solidarity with Hezbolah, and apparently Hamas
- Just a fuckton of other stuff that he’s said that’s academically poor, which is a critique he throws at other academics (his critics)
