Since getting comfortable with locating myself firmly on the #aromantic & #asexual & #queer spectrum, I’m thinking a lot about compulsive #heterosexuality / #sexuality and compulsive #romanticlove as a model for intimacy and how women are taught through the Love myth to self-enforce patriarchal misogynistic patterns of behaviour. Ellie Anderson’s explanation of her concept of hermeneutical labor is really good at making clear how these mechanisms actually work.
