✨ Cum funcționează și ce aduce nou proiectul Xodus?
🔓 Reverse Engineering pentru ecosistemul Xbox:
• Jocurile de PC din Game Pass folosesc pachete criptate de tip MSIXVC și depind de modulul Microsoft GDK (Game Development Kit). Echipa Xodus lucrează la inginerie inversată pentru a crea un runtime compatibil (xgameruntime.dll) ce le permite acestor jocuri să ruleze direct prin Wine / Proton.
🔑 Autentificare și descărcare deja funcționale:
• Echipa a confirmat că principalele bariere inițiale — sistemul de autentificare Xbox (OAuth / Xbox Live) și procesul de descărcare/decriptare directă a jocurilor — sunt deja complet rezolvate și funcționale în codul sursă (scris în Rust).
🖥️ Fără streaming sau latență:
• Până acum, singura opțiune de a juca Game Pass pe Linux (inclusiv pe consola Steam Deck) era prin Xbox Cloud Gaming în browser. Xodus vizează instalarea și executarea locală a jocurilor la fel ca pe Steam sau Epic Games.
⚙️ Planuri de integrare pe viitor:
• Deși proiectul se află într-o fază timpurie de dezvoltare (fără executabile gata de utilizare pentru publicul larg încă), se dorește integrarea ulterioară a acestui mecanism în lansatoare populare precum Heroic Games Launcher, Lutris sau Bottles.
O mișcare revoluționară care ar putea elimina una dintre ultimele mari bariere ce țineau jucătorii legați de Windows! 🚀

Der @heroiclauncher ist mit Konsolenmodus, Wine/Proton-Konfiguration, Steam-Kopplung und Zugriff auf meine GOG-Bibliothek mittlerweile eine dermaßen vollständige und komfortable Plattform, dass mir nun egal ist, dass der Galaxy-Client von GOG doch noch für Linux kommen soll. Mir fehlt nichts beim HGL …
… und das, was doch noch fehlt, die Integration meiner itch.io-Bibliothek (den itch.io-Client finde ich nicht gerade übersichtlich), ist in Arbeit: github.com/Heroic-Games-Launch…
Super Sache.
GoG games started from Heroic are "double firing" buttons or thumbstick direcitons pressed on my new #steamcontroller. I can stop Steam, which then make them only press once, but then I lose the touchpads and back button customizations.
Anyone have any hints or tips?

Some rough edges getting it right for a TV setup - ending up just using 200% scaling, which does end up making some elements *too* big, but with my older eyes too big is better than too small - but overall I'm quite happy with my new #PCgaming setup. It's #LinuxMint 22.3 (Cinnamon desktop) which is hardly different from the #LMDE I use on my laptop. #HeroicGamesLauncher autostarts in console mode. All #AMD with Ryzen 5 7600X and RX 9060 has given zero issues.
