He got what he deserved. That he committed the crime was never in doubt when the clip was aired internationally, but what I found repulsive was his denial of the offence and his attempts to normalise kissing on the lips as culturally acceptable.

I'm torn as to whether this is going to prova positive story or not long term.
Clesrly it's terrible that #spain #women team #worldcup success has been massively overshadowed by this #kissing row.
But at the same time this saga has also really highlighted issues of #sexism and #misogeny in #football / #soccer as well as in society more widely. In long run this may be a very impactful moment.
