@reiddragon @wyatt Because missing a rib is genetic, not Lamarckian, Adam's descendants had the full number of ribs. Also, it's a running theme throughout that part of The Bible that a being's life is in its blood, and blood is made in the bones. So if I had to guess, the ribcage must have been the most convenient place for God to get a bone marrow sample out of Adam at the time.
