Given what is going on in the world, #silentSunday is destined to increasingly become an act of #radicalselflove. Switch off the #news and enjoy #breathing. Enjoy #hereandnow, the very underrated only #truth there is. And yes, eventually you can go into #organising, campaigning, advocating later in the week. But for now, enjoy being. If you must DO rather than BE, try #crafts, the #arts. Something to give the world the colours you want to see. Because no one else is going to do that for you.

Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.

A quotation from Douglas Adams
“Ah, I expect you’ll be wanting to pay for that paper, then, won’t you, Mr. Dirk, sir?” said the newsagent, trotting gently after him.
“Ah, Bates,” said Dirk loftily, “you and your expectations. Always expecting this and expecting that. May I recommend serenity to you? A life that is burdened with expectations is a heavy life. Its fruit is sorrow and disappointment. Learn to be one with the joy of the moment.”Douglas Adams (1952-2001) English author, humourist, screenwriter
Dirk Gently, No. 2, The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, ch. 4 (1988)More info about this quote: wist.info/adams-douglas/56729/

Often there is a seeming truce between the humanist and the religious believer, but in fact their attitudes cannot be reconciled: one must choose between this world and the next. And the enormous majority of human beings, if they understood the issue, would choose this world. They do make that choice when they continue working, breeding and dying instead of crippling their faculties in the hope of obtaining a new lease of existence elsewhere.
George Orwell (1903-1950) English writer [pseud. of Eric Arthur Blair]

The world as it stands is no illusion, no phantasm, no evil dream of a night; we wake up to it again for ever and ever; we can neither forget it nor deny it nor dispense with it.
Henry James (1843-1916) American writer

Exploring the countless covers of 'Come Together' by The Beatles 🎸
Joe Cocker's cover of 'With A Little Help From My Friends' is legendary. Didn't know he covered 'Come Together' too. And jazz great Sarah Vaughn‽ Who knew she covered 12 Beatles tracks‽

A quotation from Thomas Carlyle
Our grand business undoubtedly is, not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what lies clearly at hand.

Demanding couple of days. Trying to avoid the ever worsening news everywhere. -7° C outside. Then a gift: a hot bath, lovingly prepared by my husband, replete with Albinoni Double Oboe concerto, iced water, candles. I am so lucky and grateful #realwealth #hereandnow

I think I’ve #hacked #OCD in a day - or two.
Am not exactly following.
It literally is a matter of standing up and cleaning up the clutter around you. Cozify and mollify that space.
My brain is slowing down.
Slowly. And I’m seeing a bit more clearly - that all of these projects based on all of these intertwined grand ideas that are all making a whole lot of sense but are somehow loopy?
- and if i wanted to i could even record that poem and publish it now what the hell lets make the pitch - you get it…
I think I’m finally - slowly - getting excited about all of it.
And the room is tidy now.
And laundry is tidy and ready to be loaded.
No more clutter.
Off to the grassroots…
(seriously, though, #cat-proof that space of yours)
