My 9-year old son is doing some homework about #HenryVIII. I pointed out to him that my home town in Suffolk (#Haverhill) is home to ‘Anne of Cleaves’ house.
All my life I believed that she lived there but I just read this on the Suffolk heritage website:
“Its connection with Anne of Cleves, the fourth wife of Henry VIII, is a recent fiction, believed to have been the marketing ploy of a local estate agent in 1967.
