Henry just changed positions. I don’t know how I am expected to cope with this level of cute, it’s too much

I went food shopping today and accidentally found myself in the pet aisle where I impulsively added a cactus-shaped catnip toy to my cart (the cats do NOT need more toys, but in my defense, my partner wasn’t there to stop me).
Henry has been cuddling with it all evening. He’s high as a kite and stinkin’ adorable. 🥰

Almost missed #ToeBeanTuesday! Henry was modeling for me all day, sleeping in his beehive bed with his little legs sticking out. I wonder if this is the cat equivalent of when we stick our feet out from under the covers when we get a bit too toasty?

Sometimes at night, Henry gets restless (he’s a night owl like his mama). When he’s restless, he tries to get my attention and/or entertain himself by pulling things off the side table next to my chair. I got a couple videos to show how silly and adorable he is. He’s such a ham.

Today’s 3 good things (#cat edition):
- my cats are cuddling with me in bed, occasionally trying to catch my toes or breaking into purrs.
- thankful for a vet that is gentle & understanding with Henry, even though he can be a pain during exams and procedures.
- I love watching my cats stretch out in front of the fireplace. They seem to love basking in the warmth, and that makes me happy.

Today’s 3 good things:
- mailed out 2 packages of pumpkin bread for family, which will arrive before Christmas.
- my girl kitty Diamond discovered that she does in fact love Churu, after previously refusing to acknowledge its existence. It was good to see her so happy.
- some of my outdoor garland fell down in the wind yesterday. No strands were broken though, and I was able to rehang it.

Today’s #3GoodThings, cat addition:
- gave Henry his last dose of oral meds (we’re all very glad to be done with it)
- Henry & Diamond have been unusually clingy & wanting to sit/lay on me more than usual. As if they sensed I was feeling down & knew I needed cuddles.❤️
- Diamond brings a toy upstairs almost every night & yowls loudly until I acknowledge & praise her for it. So proud!

Sadly, a land shark has claimed another one of Diamond’s footsies. Prior to this video, I had an extensive conversation warning her of the perils of hanging her footsie out willy nilly. She scoffed and called me paranoid. Not two minutes later, this terrible event occurred, captured on video by an innocent bystander. You can spot Henry in the background aghast with concern. However will she ever recover?!? 😩

Henry had an abdominal ultrasound today. It was a good news/bad news kind of thing.
Good news: his insides look good.
Bad news: we still don’t know why he’s vomiting so much.

Photo of my girl from last night. We have an old red pillow in our bedroom that Diamond likes to sleep on while we’re getting ready for bed. Two nights ago, Henry got there first and claimed it. Diamond was *intensely* unhappy about that. So last night she made sure she got there first. She looked so pleased with herself I couldn’t help but laugh and snap a photo. She’s such a character ❤️

This is from last night. I found Henry curled up fast asleep on my bed, belly exposed to the heavens, with one leg sticking straight up in the air. He’s such a goofball 😂 May we all sleep so deeply and peacefully!

My sweet Henry is snuggled up asleep with his toys, using his Kickaroo as a pillow, and lying between a stuffed pizza on one side, and a stuffed Christmas tree toy on the other. He’s such a mushy baby and I love it.
Edited: I zoomed in and discovered *another* toy (stuffed mousy) nestled between his head and his outstretched leg! He really loves his toys lol 🥰

Looks like it’s going to be a “random spikes of intense anxiety” type of day #today. Cool. Cool cool cool.
Also, we were supposed to go to an amazing concert tonight, but it was cancelled so the stupid Denver Nuggets could play stupid basketball in a stupid tournament that they’re going to lose anyway. 😢😡
So instead I will work on paperwork & practice my breathing. Then I will make a cake so we can eat our feelings. And I will do a lot of snuggling with #HenryAndDiamond (already in progress).❤️

Henry and Diamond are very engaged by #CoryBooker’s speech. They especially love his vocal support for save Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. This is Henry’s face right after he heard about the lies being spread about these life-savings programs.

#Henry had a rough day today. His sister #Diamond insisted on sharing his cat bed, leaving hardly any room* for him at all! Poor guy had no choice but to hang his head out the front of the bed. Truly tragic. Somewhere Sarah McLachlan is singing.

@Mrfunkedude I made the mistake of venturing outside for a few minutes to water my flowers and am now sprawled in my living room with a fan blowing directly on me trying not to melt into a puddle. To my left:
My kitty, Henry, relaxing in his favorite spot on the back of a couch (pardon the cat hair, we gave up). The blinds are pulled away from the window so he can watch the world go by. The recycling truck just came by, so that was exciting for him.

- The weather was warm and sunny, and I took myself for a very nice and relaxing mental health walk around the neighborhood.☀️
