Hey folks, can you help me out with a little something: trying to come up with a good number of files limit for a file scan (for Kitten so you don’t hit heap memory limits if you run it from the wrong directory by mistake) and I’d love some statistics from real JavaScript/TypeScript Node.js projects of the number of files in them (excluding .git and node_modules).

Would you be kind enough to run the following command in Terminal in your largest projects and let me know what number your get (along with a short description of the project):

find . \( -name "node_modules" -o -name ".git" \) -prune -o -print | wc -l

So, I tried this https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=284100, after reboot got kernel panic "VFS: unable to mount fs on unknown-block(0,0)" andunfucked it with `sudo update-initramfs -u -k 7.0.0-28-generic` + `sudo update-grub`, so at this point I'm so ready for advice and explaining. Is the problem with the fact that my disk is encrypted? Lenovo TP P14s Gen 2 laptop? Nvidia + Intel graphics card combo? Where do I look? #Linux #LinuxMint #HelpWanted

If anyone does want to find that issue I'm not able to, my guess is that it has something to do with the amount of textures to be rendered on a game field.

But my knowledge on how to speed this up does not point me into the right direction.

Thanks for your previous support, however I feel like I have yet an important question.

After shutting down the #misskey on matrix.rocks, I have been running a web setup replaying http code 410 to everything related to misskey, I ley it run for several day, until there was more or less zero activity so trace in the log files. Then replaced the nginx config for match the new #sharkey install on same domain. setting it up etc. and almost everything seems fine.. right until the point I tries to cross follow accounts between freyjas.org and matrix.rocks, OK, I do know #ActivePub can be challenging so starts investigating.. and surely userID are not updated from matrix to Freyja's, it is still using the old ID; thinking should not be that difficult. delete the old ID (user accounts from /admin/users) and then rerun some follow request... but, still or should I think once again it is using and old ID.

Any suggestions to how I can clean freyjas.org for the old ID's and get activepub up and running?

Does someone use wstunnel?

Documentation says "Do not rely on wstunnel to protect your privacy, if it is one of your concerns, you should only forwards traffic that is already secure by design (ie: https or vpn traffic)".

Well, I use Wireguard, but I have no idea on how to get Wireguard working with this on Android because if you try to use wstunnel-gui-android then it just creates a SOCKS5 proxy server and WG Tunnel cannot connect to a SOCKS5 proxy. Is the only solution to use Termux? (Which is annoying to use on mobile, which is the main device I want to use a VPN connection in the first place!)

My current site is about to close and I urgently need a new home. I was planning to self-host, but my current financial situation does not allow me to do that.

Assist in the coordination and management of Welland Legacy Park supplies and tools

This role may also assist with other LifeCyles projects as needed including the seed library, food processing and farm gleaning, and can include some indoor computer based work depending on the interests of the applicant.

LifeCycles cultivates healthy communities by bringing people together to grow, harvest, and share local foods. Working in urban gardens and orchards, we are reimagining the way that we live and eat in cities. We believe that food is at the heart of thriving, diverse communities and a healthy planet. If I start a game of Samory there should be a loading screen, but it never appears throwing you into the game directly after some seconds. This is due to some methods blocking the main thread for a long time instead of working in the background.

I have no clue how I could solve that, I tried to thread the heavy work but that's not working as planned.

I'm writing a guide for those stuck on Windows to minimise Microsoft's ability to extract profit in aid of the BDS Movement. I want it to be as user friendly as possible and I would also like to know if anyone has any suggestions or has encountered any pitfalls with any of these tools.

Currently I have 3 options:
- Tool-less: This is just using the built-in options Windows gives everyone. Mostly sourced from TheNewOil
- Tools: There's a lot of different options. I've decided to go with O&O Shutup as it seemed to most foolproof. However, it isn't open source so if I could get something as user friendly (no powershell, simple install etc.) that would be ideal.
- Answer Files: Planning on going with Unattend Generator. It's a little more power user-y but you can share links with pre-configured options which makes it useful. #bds #technology #windows #helpwanted #privacy

Dear history bounders, please advice on where to get a lasting pair of black calf high leather boots with sheepwool or similar natural warming material inside?
It will have to last snow, ice and salt, so I guess, leather soles won't be appropriate. Wide calfs. EU or EEZ.
