Can we get some traction on this? Some viral spread? (For something that's not a virus! It'll be novel!)
We need help and the blatant truth is there isn't a safety net when you're dangling above rock bottom but below bare minimum that's expected as somehow achievable. All the programs and cash benefits and shit? You have to actually be *on the streets* in CA to qualify - and usually for some amount of time, too.
They don't even give hot food ebt on disability grounds if you're under 65 - because apparently younger people can't be That Disabled or something idefk ask DPSS.
Anyway. Please share. Please give. The generosity of friends and strangers on the internet is literally what's keeping us going.

Seeing as it's #GivingTuesday, help out a queer disabled couple - strapped for cash bc we can't work, my spouse has top surgery coming up in January (which is covered but the onfollowing expenses of easy food etc are Not), we have a cat whose needs need to be prioritized, and frankly: poor people deserve nice things too.
Open up your hearts and your banks, you big rich folks, i know you exist on mastodon; fellow skint folk, we know your hearts are willing but the banks be sad, and if all you can give is a boost, that's enough. ❤️
