… ich hatte das SEHR große Vergnügen genau vor einer Woche die Band "LIAR THIEF BANDIT" in einem kleinen Club hier zu sehen.
Feinster Skandinavienrock - ich gebe es zu, dafür gibt es immer einen Platz in meinem Kopfnickerherzen.
Momentmal, was ist denn das für ein Bandname? Da gabs doch was… und ja, der Name ist ein Kopfnicken rüber an GLUECIFER, deren Song "Take it" eine Zeile mit …I'm like a liar, like a thief and a bandit enthält. Ha. Ok, und damit sind wir genau auf dem Feld, was die beackern. Gluecifer, Hellacopters, Turbonegro, früher Danko Jones -- you name, they do it -- die Fackel wurde erfolgreich weitergegeben und noch mit einer Prise Thin Lizzy und Kiss angereichert.
Aber was fast noch schöner war -- die hatten einen jungen Aushilfsdrummer dabei, der so dermaßen geil gespielt hat, dass ich das nach dem Konzert loswerden musste, und so kamen wir ein bisschen ins Plaudern und es stellte sich raus, dass seine eigentliche Band "Guenna" heisst. Und wenn ihr wie ich von denen noch nie gehört habt und wie ich eine Schwäche für Stonerrock und auch ein bisschen Prog/Psycho Euch nicht abschreckt, dann hört da mal rein. Fettes Zeug. Stellenweise erinnert mich es an frühe Motorpsycho Sachen. Sehr schön.
Und als hätte der Abend also nicht schon eine gutes Konzert und eine für mich neue Band herbeigezaubert, kam ich aufgrund meines alten Hellacopter TShirts mit einem anderen Hellacoptershirt Träger ins Gespräch. Stellt sich raus er und sein Begleiter (die während des Konzert mit mir zusammen die erste Reihe vor der Bühhne bewohnten), haben auch eine Band, die gerade auf Tour ist und einen Day-Off hatte, bevor sie am nächsten Tag in Amsterdam spielen. Meine Damen und Herren, ich präsentiere: CRANEIUM. Alter -- was ist bitte los da oben in Skandinavien? Das schiebt und brummt und rockt den Shit… und die sind alle gerade mal so Anfang zwanzig. :-)) Ich liebe es.
Vielleicht gefällts dem einen oder der anderen unter Euch ja auch.
