@OrionKidder #Debian also notifies you of new default configurations, and you should check them for one machine at least to see if there are important new defaults
This could also be easy to clear up instead of just showing you a diff of the file, what was manually changed and what is just a default setting. But not totally easy.
I am not sure why there isnt even an option to auto-update many distros.

3. Schauen was die Ausrichtung sein soll. Bei dir klingt das nach "soll einfach funktionieren", also eine "stabile" Distribution mit sehr langsamen Updates. Da sind #Debian oder #AlmaLinux empfehlenswert. Ganz neu und noch um einiges stabiler gibt es #HeliumOS / #BluefinLTS. Das basiert auf der sehr stabilen Distro AlmaLinux oder #CentOS-Stream (je nach Variante, Alma ist noch stabiler), hat aber noch sicherere Updates ähnlich wie #Android

Wie sieht es eigentlich bei #EUOS aus? Eine #Linux #Distribution die nach einem Layersystem ein Betriebssystem für die #Verwaltung in Staaten und Ländern sein soll.
Ich würde als Grundlage #HeliumOS / #AuroraLTS nehmen. Alternativ ist #NixOS echt cool, was ich gerade probiere, aber auch etwas komplexer. Das Konzept scheint mir gleichzeitig um einiges effizienter, wie anfälliger für Problemchen.

Nach 20 Jahren landet der Echtzeit-Support im #Linux Mainline-Kernel und Linux 6.11 erscheint. Das Linux Magazin wird 30 Jahre alt. Mono wird an Wine übergeben und Elasticsearch wechselt wieder zu einer Open Source-Lizenz. Die zukünftige Pflege der Linux-Manpages ist ungewiss. #Fedora 41 Beta, #Ubuntu 24.04.1 und #GNOME 47 erscheinen. #HeliumOS startet als neue Distribution.
