The Catawba County United Way office will continue collect and distribute donations to those affected by the storm in Catawba County through Friday, October 11. The United Way’s other collection locations are closing Monday, October 7. As our region moves toward longer-term recovery, material distribution to those in need in Western NC will be increasingly coordinated by state and federal resources. Residents wanting to help are encouraged to consider donating financially toward these efforts locally at Catawba County United Way (https://www.ccunitedway.com/donate?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_content=ap_onnw9h0tha) and statewide at the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund (https://pay.payitgov.com/ncdonations?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_content=ap_kbo7bgxxqr).
