@j Using aurora on the #Alaska787 livery isn't a bad idea. Other Alaska regional themes might have been moose, salmon or crab, besides the Eskimo on their narrowbody fleet. Consider how popular IcelandAir's recently retired #HeklaAurora 757 was. But the IcelandAir special livery was hand-painted to get the detail that made it so popular. Alaska needed a simpler style to minimize cost and time to paint each aircraft. N784HA was in the paint hangar 3-1/2 weeks, which is normal for a widebody.

After not flying for over 3 weeks, IcelandAir's Hekla Aurora Boeing 757-200 was flown to a boneyard at Lleida–Alguaire Airport #LEDA in Spain. Game over. It looks like the sold-out "farewell tour" of #HeklaAurora #TFFIU must have been thoroughly enjoyed by its passengers. They went around the Westfjords, along the north coast, a low pass over Egilsstaðir Airport EGS and across the glacier-covered center of the island back to the downtown Reykjavik Airport (which doesn't usually see 757s).
