story of Heir To The Empire takes place in an academic institution, plenty of people educate the main characters, but the best direct example stems, again, from The Path Not Taken, where one MC serves as a mentor to another, giving them the backing and insight to search for solutions in the face of the adversities they face.

My favorite part of the Heir to the Empire Trilogy (by Timothy Zahn) is when Thrawn says "It's Thrawnin' Time!" and Thrawns all over those guys.

Last night, decided to dig into #StarWarsExpandedUniverse. Never got into it, cuz it seemed so nebulous w/a lot of hit-n-miss books. W/Disney, et al actively flushing my beloved mythos down the toilet, did some research, and started listening to the #ThrawnTrilogy on audiobook. It was often at/near the top of any listical/article I found, so figured I'd start there.

I'm 4 chapters into #HeirToTheEmpire, and totally loving it!

Interest in new #StarWars = 0. #NotSorry

Resale shop find. The Zahn series breathed new life into the Star Wars universe back in the day. Arguably, Lucas might not have made any more if this series had not been a huge best seller. I read the old cover version back in the 1990s. This new version I kind of like the covers (modern book covers of sci fi classics are so minimalist they're just horrible) yet I noticed they've demoted this stand out series to "legends" status (despite borrowing a lot from it for "canon" films). Kevin J. Anderson's stuff was complete crap.

If this is true, it can only be VERY loosely based on it since the sequel trilogy has already broken some of the plot points from #HeirtotheEmpire.
