My research is rather slapdash. When I need to know something, I look it up and seldom before.
Fascinating: The Japanese court in the Heian period. I have even switched from writing haiku to waka as a result. It still has that minimalist feel, but has more scope.

#Today #Yesterday I didn’t do of the editing I expected yesterday. I ended up finishing another chapter. It includes waka (classic Japanese poetry) which was easier than I expected, except the double meaning prophesy. Wrote one last night and then changed it all around this morning.The rest of the day, I want to wrap up the new chapter in 100 to 300 words. Then I have to edit and do research. We’re entering the sorcerous’ court in the next chapter and I want to know as much as I can about the 10th century Japanese court by the time I write that.
