Heavy Horses

Perhaps, like me, you now have Jethro Tull ear worming into your brain. My sympathies, but it’s a great track. However, I nipped down the road this morning to check out the Heavy Horse open day at Oakfield Farm. The day was hot and dry, and especially in the morning the dust that was kicked up added a decent bit of atmosphere to the proceedings.

Heavy Horses, released on April 10, 1977, is the middle album of Jethro Tull's folk-rock trilogy. Its bookends are Songs From The Wood (1977) and Stormwatch (1979). The title track was one of the band's long-standing concert faves.
