  1. Spain just logged its hottest April on record as heat surges before summer

Spain just recorded its hottest April since national records began, another stark sign that dangerous heat is arriving…

It would be good to make a regular practice of highlighting the growing range for crops.

It's too easy for people to look at this and think it's about when A/C or a trip to the beach is needed (though we do now have stories saying the beach water isn't so cold as it once was).

I'm betting most people don't realize that even though humans can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, some things we critically depend upon cannot.

Arizona (US) is breaking terrifying #HeatRecords:
in July every day +110 F ; nights 90 F and the crazies are trying to convince themselves it's just normal in #Arizona !!
    (Btw 115 F = 46.11 C and 90 F = 32.22 C )

The worst is that they not only fool themselves but that others don't want to be called pussies and take risks they can't survive.
Just keep burning those dinosaurs in your cars too big for your tiny brain 🥵 (or is it that your brain is already overheating? )

  4. WRT #HeatRecords. This year on new years eve we had 20°C in #Munich. That was quite unusual, to put it mildly. Below zero would have been more likely. 5-10°C maybe a bit unusual but not that weird. But 20°C? Seems almost everyone has forgotten about this, not even 6 months later :(

  5. Winter #HeatRecords have been smashed in several European countries. And by large margins.
