Hail Freya on this Freya‘s Day!
Beauty and battle fury
Align in You,
O fierce and fragrant Lady of the Vanir.
May the Queen of Valkyries
Spread Valshamr as wings
Over our way,
And Folkvangr gleam through the mist
To inspire our steps,
Our fates bound by seidr lore
To the destiny of the Gods.#paganism #pagan #freya #norsereligion #goddess #heathen #heathenism #spirituality

Sunrise as bright as Brisingamen
Spills over the burgeoning earth,
And falcons dive upon the hunt
For scurrying feet amidst the rising corn;
The Sacred Lady treads on eager ground
That weeps within Her steps
Its tears of ripening hues,
The world perfumed by passing Freya‘s touch.#solstice #summersolstice #pagan #paganism #litha #heathen #heathenism #poetry #writing #freya

Odin and Freya, ride!
Valshamr, cover us;
Gungnir, defend us;
Brisingamen, guide us;
And Draupnir forge in us
The strength and wisdom
Of the Old Ones!#pagan #paganism #norsepagan #odin #freya #heathen #heathenism #poetry #poem #spirituality

Hail to the Allfather on this Odin’s Day.
May strength, courage and wisdom
Be your blessings to us, O Odin,
And Gungnir’s certain strike
Our defence
On the ancient ways;
May Huginn and Muninn
Be our guides,
And call forth our Thoughts
And Memories
Of lore long past.#pagan #odin #paganism #norsegods #norsereligion #heathen #heathenism #spirituality

Come, let us wander into the woods
And there, beside the ancient ash,
And beneath the reaching oaks
Cast a circle of fellowship —
Of sisters and brothers,
Hailing the Old Ones,
Summoning the Keepers
Of Ancient Lore,
To teach us the ways of yesteryear,
In whispers clothed in moonlight.#paganism #pagan #occult #norsepagan #heathen #heathenism #oldgods #OldWays #poetry #poem #wicca #odin #freya

The frenzy that fires the berserker’s fury
Is that same Allfather’s touch
That stirs a wielding of the poet’s pen;O Odin inspire us,
O Ófnir, incite us!
In deeds,
In words —
And in both, wisdom.#paganism #pagan #odin #allfather #norsepagan #heathen #heathenism

I love the idea of Gritty as the wight of the city of Philadelphia. Who would be the wight of your city?
