My outdoor thermometer shows 111F/44C in my part of the world. You've heard this many times but it's important not to forget the basics of staying hydrated, taking breaks if you're outdoors, etc.

The one big tip I seldom if ever see in lists on how to beat the heat is ever about your clothing.
Wear only natural fibers like cotton & linen. Polyester is not going to breathe. 100% cotton is your friend during this time. The looser the weave the better. Plus keep as much skin exposed as you can.
Avoid anything that says 'moisture wicking'. It's code for 'this garment will make you sweat'. And no, I don't care if it's a golf shirt that they sell in the summer.

PG&E may turn off power in some areas on Monday and Tuesday due to elevated wildfire risk on Monday (9/30) and Tuesday (10/01).
In the event of a Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), PG&E would open a community resource center inside the #Calistoga Community Center at 1307 Washington St., Calistoga, California. The climate-controlled center would be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday. There would be charging for electronic and small medical devices, water, snacks, ice, restrooms & Wi-Fi.
