  4. Tonight’s the night I experimented with a charred red cabbage and turkey Italian sausage ragu. I was skeptical but had a cabbage that I needed to use up. And it’s so good! The cabbage breaks down to thicken the mixture while giving it flavor from the sweetness and the charred ends. On my quest to eat more veggies and still make it hearty, I’m expermenting with an idea to make a chicken alfredo lasagna with vegetable noodle layers of zucchini, yellow squash and sweet potatoes. In between, I’m thinking layers of cauliflower parmesan alfredo sauce with shredded chicken and a mixture of mushrooms, onions, garlic, spinach, and mozzarella. I’ve got the “noodles” salted to draw out moisture. That has to be good. 😀 #cooking #healthyish #comfortfood
