Not surprised.
In the days of paper records I watched a GP throw away a lot of my records instead of passing them on when I moved.
He suddenly stopped and then saved the next ones.
With every new GP for many years I knew when they got to these notes as their attitude to me would change for the worse.
It was an incorrect record of depression with something about me exaggerating my physical symptoms.
According to the GP who wrote that my throat and tonsils were fine, all in my head. But when I was finally referred to ENT the consultant said my tonsils were the worst he'd seen since antibiotics. They were pitted and scarred from repeated untreated infections. And that I needed them out urgently.
Guess which notes were carried over ...
I have to work hard with every new GP practice to convince them I am rational and tell the truth.
