FYI for anyone building HealthKit apps across iOS and watchOS:

If you’re testing on iOS 26.4 beta 2 / watchOS 26.4 beta 2 and seeing HealthKit syncing issues between iPhone and Apple Watch, it’s not your code.

The problem appears to come from the current beta.

On stable releases, HealthKit syncing works normally.

Is there any reason an #AppleWatch would refuse to use sleep / heart-rate / blood oxygen and breathing data not sourced by itself (but present in the health app) for over-night vitals info?

I've been tracking my sleep with an #Oura Ring lately because it has more accurate measurements than the watch and also gets pretty much all the same metrics but my Apple Watch simply shows me a blank vitals card with the subtext "over night vitals required".. well, duh, they're right there in Health???

Apple rozwija projekt Mulberry – nowy asystent zdrowotny w iOS 19.4

Apple pracuje nad nową wersją aplikacji Zdrowie, która zadebiutuje w iOS 19.4 na wiosnę 2026 roku, donosi Mark Gurman z Bloomberga.Nowością będzie asystent zdrowotny oparty na AI, który ma „replikować” lekarza, analizując dane użytkownika i udzielając spersonalizowanych rekomendacji.

Nowy asystent będzie korzystać z danych zdrowotnych zebranych m.in. z Apple Watch, oferując porady dotyczące żywienia, snu, aktywności fizycznej i zdrowia psychicznego. Apple planuje także wprowadzenie filmów edukacyjnych nagrywanych przez lekarzy, dietetyków i fizjoterapeutów.

Filmy te będą odtwarzane, aby pomóc wyjaśnić użytkownikom trendy zdrowotne i będą nagrywane w nowym obiekcie w Oakland w Kalifornii, według Gurmana. Apple chce również znaleźć „ważną osobistość lekarską”, która posłuży jako „gospodarz” nowej usługi. Niektórzy wewnątrz Apple nazywają tę usługę „Health+”.

Apple testuje funkcję wykorzystującą kamerę iPhone’a do analizy treningów, pomagając użytkownikom poprawiać technikę ćwiczeń. Możliwe jest także powiązanie tej funkcji z platformą Apple Fitness+.

I’ve been doing CBT training for my #anxiety. Learning about the Worry Tree, hot thoughts, cycles etc. I’ve come to realise that I need to journal daily. Not only that, but I need to have a way of reviewing data to prove that life is positive.

With #iOS18 launching soon, I’m hoping there’s a wave of apps using the new #HealthKit APIs to log mood in Apple Health. It would be good to have various apps read from a central source, just like my physical health apps do.
