  1. i need to go to the ER, but have no car, and uber/lyft are not reliable in this part of the country.

but even if i could get there, i can’t go alone because of the high likelihood i will be mistreated in retaliation.

the thing is, i have been attempting to organize other disabled ppl to do this for another for years but we can’t have nice things like that because of wreckers in the form of competitive individualists and those whose hopelessness motivates them to take all hope away from the rest of us

neoliberal fascism’s extermination phase is slow and boring, responsibility is so finely diffused that no one has to face the consequences of their complicity - it is simultaneously nobody’s fault and everyone’s.

  2. "As governments retreat from care, & health increasingly becomes a signifier of discipline—rather than provision—fitness, disability, fatness, illness, Blackness, impairment, & bodily capacity are mobilized into measures of moral worth and political belonging. This panel examines how health, disability, body size, and race are instrumentalized by the state and being reorganized under health fascism. Da’Shaun L. Harrison, Beatrice Adler-Bolton"

  4. I despair (and am infuriated) that there exists a breeding ground of ideas in which people believe that taking medication is somehow not taking responsibility for ones illness and that taking or needing medication is a failure. 1/2
