Been supporting a friend with cancer over the last few months.. too late to do much for him by the time it was found. I've been around several family and friends who have died and all have talked about what they wanted in terms of treatment and funeral. This friend has been less clear and his health has deteriorated rapidly in the last few days. He will die very soon, has no relatives and none of his friends have any idea what he wanted. As I drove home tonight the air ambulance landed in the football field to collect someone involved in a serious traffic accident...you never know when illness or accident might turn your world upside down.
