Private insurance for general healthcare sucks so much. I feel bad for USians. I have private dental care here in Canada and it's already sucky enough. Can't imagine everything else healthwise being like that, for real.

@SecondUniverse my sister went through decades of pain, being told she was hysterical, and being denied a hysterectomy “in case she meets a new partner who wants to have children”. Past child bearing age, she’s finally been allowed to have the surgery and they found she had extensive adenomyosis (endometriosis growing inside the muscle), fibroids in the uterus and a cyst on an ovary. Surgeon congratulated her for surviving so long with obviously so much pain.

Starting today, recipients under the IFHP will be required to pay a $4 fee for prescription medications and a 30% co-payment for other services, like dental and vision care.

It is not acceptable to deny essential care to people who are fleeing war, persecution and violence (often funded by our very own dollars).

Only fascists would argue for cutting health care to pay for a war THEY STARTED w the ‘objective’ of re-opening the Hormuz Strait the closing of which is the consequence of their same war. Fascist MAGA ideologues are mean .and. dumb. And they’re funded by billionaires who don’t pay any taxes, another ‘reason’ for health care cuts, natch.
