"Ah Ha!" moment or just "Duh"? 🙄

I generally don't use #headlamps when I'm #camping because they are generally too bright for close work and I get blinded by my partner every time they look up to ask me a question (and vise versa). I haven't even owned a functioning headlamp for more than five years.

Then it suddenly dawned on me... Open up the nice soft headband and pull it OVER your head so the light hangs at your NECK. The light goes mostly where it's needed and no one gets blinded. Make that light dimmable and/or red and it's even better! 🙂

If the light is too far "down" for you, simply wear the headlamp upside down. This will let it hinge up to light the path in front of you. Again, no blinding blackouts when you turn your head. 👍
