HDMI 2.2 – nowy protokół z mniejszym opóźnieniem audio

HDMI Forum ogłosiło nową wersję protokołu – HDMI 2.2, który przynosi kilka ważnych usprawnień, zwłaszcza w kwestii redukcji opóźnienia audio i większej przepustowości. Nowe rozwiązania mogą zrewolucjonizować sposób, w jaki korzystamy z urządzeń multimedialnych.

Co zmienia HDMI 2.2?

Do najważniejszych cech nowego protokołu należy zaliczyć:

• Zwiększoną przepustowość do 96 Gbps – idealną dla wymagających urządzeń AR/VR oraz innych aplikacji, takich jak duże cyfrowe ekrany, obrazowanie medyczne czy widzenie maszynowe.
• Nowy protokół Latency Indication Protocol (LIP) – dzięki temu, HDMI 2.2 umożliwi redukcję opóźnienia audio, co znacznie poprawi synchronizację dźwięku i obrazu, szczególnie przy użyciu odbiorników audio-wideo lub soundbarów.
• Wsparcie dla wyższych rozdzielczości i częstotliwości odświeżania – HDMI 2.2 oferuje wsparcie dla nowoczesnych technologii wyświetlania, co może obejmować 4K i 8K.

Kiedy możemy spodziewać się HDMI 2.2 na rynku?

Pomimo że specyfikacja HDMI 2.2 została ogłoszona, pierwsze urządzenia obsługujące ten protokół mogą pojawić się na rynku dopiero w pierwszej połowie 2025 roku. Dla większości użytkowników, którzy już korzystają z HDMI 2.1, przejście na HDMI 2.2 nie będzie pilne, zwłaszcza że HDMI 2.1 obsługuje rozdzielczości takie jak 4K przy 120 Hz.

Use Displayport. And write to HDMI Consortia in the meantime.
