Today’s episode of health insurance companies are bad and they should feel bad
About my struggle to get good therapy for a family member paid for by health insurance, with delays and difficulties caused by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts in particular and the business model of health insurance in general. This highlights the challenges many families face in accessing timely and affordable therapy.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but...
Before you sign up for a high deductible health plan (#HDHP), ask the insurance company who administers the health savings account (#HSA) that is linked to it.
If it's #HSABank, a.k.a. #WebsterBank, then I'm not going to tell you to choose a different insurance company, but you should at least factor into your decision the fact that, speaking from personal experience, HSA Bank is massively incompetent and a huge pain in the ass to deal with. -
It’s benefits enrollment time and I’m stressed out. After 35+ years of work we actually need the health insurance and while my paycheck “cost” isn’t going up, the deductible for the #Anthem PPO went up, a lot. (From $750 pp to $1000 pp)
For older people like us who *have* health issues and will have an undetermined amount of claims, do you find an unfunded #HDHP works for you?
Or who uses #Surest in the #Nashville area? Does any doctor even accept it?

The interest rate on my health savings account is 0.03%. It has been steady for years. Despite the federal funds rate now being at 5%. How does this make sense? #HDHP #Healthcare #HSA #HealthSavingsAccount
