"Florida stole my parents " from Refined Fool Brewing in Sarnia, Ontario close to the lake which unequivicably called Lake Ontario. First smell was of a new carpet shop, but pleasant orange hazy IPA, not super strong, easy drinking but not memorable. Great name though not sure why the parents would let themselves be stolen

Fantastic beer by Boombox Brewing, who has been putting out some really good beers.
Called "Dream Wave", it is a hazy double IPA "with terpenes".As soon as you open the beer, you'll know what 'terpenes' are. a large and diverse class of natural products with the general formula (C5H8)n, where n ≥ 2. (as per wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terpene) and it contributes to the aromatic properties of many plants, and one in particular - which you'll recognize as soon as you open the can.
It gives a wonderful flavour to this beer!

Soloævl 37 – Humleland Granfætteren og Æstetikkens Forår Får et ModsvarSoloævl 37 – Humleland Granfætteren og Æstetikkens Forår Får et Modsvar
Nu er det Mathias, der må melde forfald, så Mikkel laver en Soloævl med svar på Mathias’ serv ind i Æstetikkens Forår i sidste uge. Den kridter banen glimrende op og viser en af de nyttige ting ved at kende til filosofien: den kan bruges til at markere forskellene i hvordan to levende mennesker tænker ved at referere til en masse døde mennesker. Til det hele drikker Mikkel Granfætteren fra Humleland, der er en ganske fin Hazy IPA – også selv om han vist glemmer at give sin bedømmelse af den. Og det er jo lidt pinligt, når det hele handler om æstetik og vel dermed bedømmelser?
Mikkel mener efter de to omgange, at vi har nogle interessante spørgsmål foran os:
- Er æstetik en gren af filosofien på linje med epistemologi, bevidsthedsfilosofi og metafysik, eller er den lidt underlødig (modvilje mod den hos dem, der introducerer den)?
- Handler æstetik kun om kunst eller om alle sansninger af skønhed (hvilken rolle spiller det sublime?)?
- Er det muligt filosofisk at sig noget om, hvad der skaber et godt kunstværk eller er det rene håndværksspørgsmål? Hvis det er muligt, hvad tror vi så er sandt? Og hvis det er muligt, hvordan kan det så hænge sammen, at ikke al kunst, der er god, også er “skøn”, når nu æstetikken er læren om det skønne?
Vi bør nok tale om Hume, Kant, Hegel, Adorno, Eco og finde nogen flere fra anden halvdel af det tyvende århundrede (og måske endda dette århundrede?) også.
I næste uge møder vi forhåbentlig begge ind igen og tager en fælles omgang om æstetik (der er også allerede lytterhenvendelser – keep them coming!) så Foråret rigtig er forberedt, inden vi så hopper tilbage i nogle segmenter.
