These acts of brutality are genocidal. For over a century and a half, Hazaras have lived under the constant threat of extermination. I urge the free world and human rights advocates to stand with and support the Hazara people.

WELV is a member of the orthonairovirus genus in the #Nairoviridae family and is most closely related to the #tickborne #Hazara orthonairovirus genogroup. Acute WELV infection was identified in 17 patients from Inner Mongolia, #Heilongjiang, #Jilin, and #Liaoning, #China, by means of reverse-transcriptase–polymerase-chain-reaction assay.

Im Nachgang zur heutigen #StopHazaraGenocide Kundgebung in #Düsseldorf haben wir uns den Film "Der Drachenläufer", basierend auf dem gleichnamigen Roman von 2003, angesehen. Eine Freundschaft zweier afghanischer Jungen: Der eine Sohn eines Wohlhabenden, der andere Sohn des Hausbediensteten - ein #Hazara. Der Film gibt ein Gefühl für die Wirklichkeit von Hazara in #Afghanistan vor dem russischen Einmarsch, während und bis zur Machtergreifung der Taliban.

Auf der #StopHazaraGenocide Kundgebung wurde erinnert an ein Attentat am 30.9. auf eine Schule in einem mehrheitlich von #Hazara bewohnten Stadtteil. "Den wegen ihres asiatischen Aussehens und ihrer schiitischen Religion verfolgten #Hazara drohe ein Genozid", so die Redner heute.

In #Düsseldorf fand heute eine "Protestkundgebung gegen den Völkermord an #Hazara in #Afghanistan" statt. Die Hazara sind eine ethnische Minderheit die traditionell in Afghanistan leben. Tötungen durch die #Taliban deuten auf ein systematisches Vorgehen hin. #StopHazaraGenocide
