So, conclusion of the evening:

Havana 15 is better than Havana 7, but Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is better still and costs a fraction, making Havana 15 really not worth it.

I also have tried Havana Seleccion de Maestros (I’m told that I pronounce it with the most stereotypical German accent possible, but not strictly speaking incorrect) in the past (during the early days of covid when drinking was remote-only) and came away with the conclusion that I liked Havana 7 more.

Combined this means that with regards to brown rums, there is little reason to get a Havana Club >7, because at that price-point you might as well go for the Diplomatico.

Also: I can recommend the High Priestess from Bobby’s if you substitute the Proseco with Roku gin; Substituting the Eristroc Vodka with Havana 3 in the Mango Nr.5 (something I requested last time) even goes a step further and apparently left some impression with some bar-tenders. 😉
