Ich glaube, ich habe noch nie etwas so Buntes gesehen wie diesen Abend. Die Choreografin lässt kein Klischee aus und entlässt einen mit der wunderbaren, beglückenden Botschaft, dass man alles sein kann, was man will.
Der Farbspeicher jedenfalls ist voll für heute.

Thikra: Night of Remembering
Akram Khan Company

Ein außerordentlich schöner und rätselhafter Abend - kontemplativ und dynamisch - die Kraft der Elemente und der Erinnerungen - die Beschwörung der Geister der Ahn:inen - Ritual und Heilung. Dieses Stück ist nach 25 Jahren zugleich auch das Ende der Akram Khan Company.

Mit Jazz kann ich nicht viel anfangen. Und dann taucht einfach eine traumhafte Mala Emde auf und spielt sich als flippige Self-Made-Tour-Managerin Vera Brandes direkt ins Herz. Und dann noch John Magaro neben Alexander Scheer als Jazz-Ikone Keith Jarrett spielen zu sehen, ist so verrückt wie fantastisch.

Im Rahmen von #TanzImAugust wurde heute im #HausDerBerlinerFestspiele das Stück

MYCELIUM

des genialen Choreografen Christos Papadopoulos mit dem Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon gezeigt.
Seine Stücke wirken meist, als seien die Tänzer:innen Teil eines großen Organismus und entfalten eine kaum zu beschreibende Magie.
In diesem Stück bewegen sich die Akteure gleichsam wie Vogelschwärme.
