#AdamSmith gilt als #Begründer der #modernen #Ökonomie. Doch das #Sinnbild der „#unsichtbaren_Hand_des_Marktes“ ist zu #Unrecht zum #Synonym seiner #Philosophie geworden. Vor 250 Jahren veröffentlichte er sein #Hauptwerk „#Der_Wohlstand_der_Nationen“.

@Troggie Well, this is the post I hadn't expected to find when taking a stroll around the Fediverse.
CW: Purists might want to look away. 😉
I built a MIDI console during lockdown, and I'm currently running Hauptwerk 6. 4 manuals, 32 note pedalboard. It's a Frankenstein, not really built to exacting specifications but it works and I use it purely for my own enjoyment.
Mam interface MIDI-USB. Było wczoraj grane na Grand Orgue. Na początku trochę trzeba było wyczuć artykulację. Organ ten brzmi potężnie, a są to darmowe sample trochę dopasowane do moich preferencji.
Three proper keyboards are due to be delivered later this week. I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of YouTube videos about virtual pipe organs. They've been a great source of information. Many are in German but fortunately Youtube's auto translated captions have filled in some of the gaps for me!

I'm in the process of assembling a Hauptwerk virtual pipe organ. In my younger years, I did a lot of pipe organ playing and worked for a local pipe organ builder during my summers at university. Accessibility issues brought that to an end a number of years ago – until I was told about virtual pipe organs by an acquaintance earlier this spring. The software and a couple of sample sets are now operational on my computer.
