Apparemment #Hasura (v2 en #Haskell) réécrit son moteur #graphql en #Rust (v3).

We made some progress in July/August, but are back to 42 open requests for new products on endoflife.date.

We've been using Hasura for our API layer at @hardcover for the last two years and absolutely love it.

I'll be speaking at Hasura Conf next week about our experience building a social network using #Hasura & #Ruby on #Rails picking the best parts of each.

The main argument against #hasura is how annoying it looks to set up

#Hasura's filters ("where-expressions") (https://hasura.io/docs/latest/api-reference/graphql-api/query/#whereexp) are the "missing piece" turning #GraphQL into an actual query language, which is cool

But then what's even #GraphQL's place? For living between the server and the database it's just not powerful enough (maybe #Hasura would disagree?).

Gonna start building out some GraphQL + data infrastructure examples and am curious what people would be interested in.

A few thoughts so far. Infra would be databases + graphql later w/ services + custom service implementation for the custom use cases.

Like #PostgreSQL + #Hasura + #snowflake + #dotnet C# hot choco for the custom case + the #IaC to glue it all together for deployment.

What else should I add, subtract, differentiate to max out the interest factor?

Everything can talk to the otherthings internally - but when requests have to route through a browser (#frontend #nginx) we're getting #CORS errors every time. For this job we choose #Hasura, which provides an automatically generated #GraphQL API based on its #PostgreSQL database.
