I harvested the last of this year's edibles this morning... Before After I need to trim the Peace/Bird Garden, especially after this week's storms, but we're still inundated with droves of hummingbirds, so there's rarely a moment to sneak out and work there. These probably look a bit drab, but I'm guessing our neighbors' corn will be pulled in this week (could be wrong, they might wait one more week, we'll see). I'm hoping to take daily photos to capture how quickly the landscape changes.
Corn is probably just 8.5 ft tall!

So yeah, I had a successful crop of #RainbowChard that started out as teeny tiny seedlings from a local farm. I decided to start a second crop in late August, and the plants are getting pretty big! Since the enclosed porch isn't insulated, at some point, I'll have to harvest them (I have enough indoor plants to deal with). But thanks to @keira_reckons and @MaQuest I know what to do with the stems once I harvest them -- pickle them!
