For anyone interested, I'm almost entirely recovered from my stoma reversal (reversal of Hartmann's procedure, aka proctosigmoidectomy reversal) on 2023-12-27 🏥

The last thing remaining is my former stoma site.

It started off as 7 cm wide by 4 cm tall by 3 cm deep.

There's now just a tiny area that has yet to heal over.

Received a letter today from the NHS surgeon who did my recent operation to reverse my stoma.

"In the course of the reversal of your Hartmann's, I removed your appendix and am pleased to say the histopathology report has shown no sinister features."

This is the first I've heard that they removed my appendix!

I guess at least I can't get appendicitis now 🤣
