Some traffic statistics from the video stream distribution system for last weekend's #HarmonyCon 2023 (2.5 days) event:

NorthAmerica: 5191 GB
SouthAmerica: 808 GB
EMEA: 3377 GB
APAC: 1121 GB

Radio relay: 758GB

Total: 11.3 Terabytes of outboud network traffic.

21 virtual servers and 1 bare metal server were used at peak.

Average bitrate per stream: 1.3 Mb/s. (1080p video was 6Mb/s, radio was 128kb/s)

Unique attendees: > 37000

Well, this convention has turned into sort of a bust for me. I'm running a fever and coughing stuff up, so I've confined myself to my room for now. Trying to get someone to bring me a COVID test but at this point even if it's not COVID I think it'll be better to isolate.

That said, I'm really appreciative of the huge online presence of #harmonycon. I've been peeking at the discord and Pony Town servers so at least I'm still getting some con vibes.

They put me in charge of all the buttons and sliders!
