I've got used to helpful folk on here, so was surprised when I posted on a #harleydavidson forum about how I wanted illuminated hand controls on my Street Bob and got some very unhelpful "if you can't find the switch in the dark you shouldn't be riding" type responses. Apparently replying that electric starters and led lights are also for the weak was enough to get me banned!
Anyway, if anyone knows of aftermarket illuminated hand controls for a 2018 FXBB (in Australia) I'm interested!

We also made a last minute decision to knock out another HOGWASH site, the first drive-in in Washington so the lore goes.
That’s 13 of 36 full stops, I have 11 Westside locations and 2 bonus locations. I think I hit my first Eastside location next Saturday. Don’t think Chinook Pass will be open so over the big hill it is (I-90).

Home sweet home. No “major” incidents but the girlfriend’s helmet took a tumble and snapped the clip to her headset.
Both bikes are absolutely grimy so tomorrow I will detail both since it’s gonna be close to 80.
It’s awesome to see her grow into riding. She may not like riding at 80 MPH but she holds her own and she says it’s relaxing for her.

Heading home to close out this lil impromptu trip. Great tune up for touring season. Back to putting in miles after the long dark. Is 500 or so miles a decent weekend? For country roads and 50 MPH most of it, seems decent. I find my balance of miles is time in saddle not miles rode. 6-7 hours and between 300-500 miles depending on speed and road conditions.

I also took a 20 mile detour to the National Motorboat Lifesaving school at Cape Disappointment. It’s a pretty big deal in the Coast Guard.

Filled up this morning and just put another 5 gallons in…. Lots of twisties and 45 MPH but some amazing roads.nothing faster than 55 MPH all day. 200 miles down still have 60 or so more.

Need to grab some pics here in town then off to the ocean, about 30 miles out. Been a nice ride so far.

Glad I made a few different routes for today… we may get out of here by 1 pm.

Just looked at the weather for riding Saturday through Monday and it’s going to be high 50’s low 60’s and overcast with no rain in the forecast.

Going out to the shore for a few days tomorrow. Riding all weekend, should hit some interesting spots for my HOGWASH scavenger hunt of the SW part of the state.
I think I will hit 5 sites this trip. Just need 2 on the east side of the Cascades to qualify for the prize pool.
Staying at a place we stayed at 10 or so years ago for some nostalgia.
Got rides happening now till June and another long ride end of June. That one will be 3 days, touring, Seattle -> Lewiston -> LoLo Pass -> Spokane -> Seattle. Two mountain ranges, lots of rivers, plains, potatoes, several passes, and 2, maybe 3 #harleydavidson dealers.
I may be able to knock out my 10 dealer check-ins before Sturgis. #motorcycle

This morning the left lane was clearly used for crime.
Had a HOG Chapter meeting this morning so being a single pet dad this weekend, I had to get everyone up and fed before I headed out for a few hours.
I knew I was going to be cutting it close but seems I was 2 mins faster than GPS and 10 mins early for the meeting that started 20 mins late, lasted about 30 minutes longer than needed, 40 minutes of it should have been an email.
Was a bit more traffic on the way home.

So once I fine some steady money, I am gonna pull the trigger on a 2026 #harleydavidson Road Glide 3. Going to test ride one soon.

Due to the wet season, I haven't been able to get much riding in since December.
So I consoled myself the only way I know how: with upgrades! 🎉
Over the past few months, I've had installed:
* A bash plate
* LED indicator lights (stock were incandescent)
* Lowrider S tank (18 L instead of 13.25 L)
* Screamin' Eagle Ohlins front & rear suspensionNow she's "done". 😁

Another up and at them day. More HOG today at our new home in Fife/Tacoma.
Jet City #harleydavidson is changing its name with its new location. A few names so far are Grit City H-D, Sasquatch H-D, and Sea-Tac H-D.
Grit city is cool but there is an MC named Grit City in Tacoma so no way the chapter renames to that Sasquatch is fun and my current pick because it’s big foot and I am cool with that.
So I will do my first Easter service in forever at the Church of Brappppp cause god loves big ol’ motorcycles, clearly based on all the Christian riding groups.

Ok I am now trained. Biggest take away from ROC is ride and have fun.
For my time I got a duffle bag and big ass belt buckle.
Some of you all may be curious about HOG or riding, my personal take away is it spend the rest of 2026 getting riders comfortable in group riding.
I am pretty passionate about being in a huge group of bikes having fun. It’s a totally unique experience and I want to share that with others.

Up and at em. Got ROC training today. ROC is the #harleydavidson HOG regional officer connection. They train you to be a good officer of the club.
It’s a riding group but I guess they want to ensure we can officer good.
So I will ride my trike to Bellevue and sit in a room for 8 hours not riding to learn to officer.
Ain’t my first rodeo on this officer thing but my first with H-D. At least I get a new patch to sew.
