  1. My 3rd #VietnameseCoriander container is now totally full of happy plants! I propagated these ones from my main repurposed bathtub planter, in June. They are left outside in Winter & they survive through snow/ice. We harvest them year round on an as needed basis.

⚠️DO NOT put these into the ground. Grow in containers so you can control them. They spread fast, if put into ground.

  2. One of several, bright yellow #wallflowers started blooming this week. These are under our large cedar tree - in a well mulched rock garden bed. It was delightful to see their flowers emerge again. Most of our other wallflowers bloomed all through Summer & stopped in October. They smell amazing!

  3. We grow 3 different coloured #snapdragons - these red ones, white & yellow ones too. We have more of the reds than the other two. Like pansies - snapdragons are hella resilient flowering plants. When well mulched, they survive & produce blooms in midst of Winter - defying snow & ice conditions.

Snapdragons started being cultivated by gardeners in the 15th century.

  4. My #plantoftheseason - Ligularia Othello. This is just one plant in its second year. Large leaves open dark purple, turning dark green and purple underneath. Sprays of orange daisy flowers have been going for a month - loved by #pollinators and #bees.

  6. Letting my cherry tomatoes grow wild, they are carpeting the floor with delicious goodness. No pruning or trellising needed, they know what to do.

Originally from hardy volunteer cherry tomatoes from Ukraine, these are third generation in my Ontario food forest, that do well in no till polyculture settings.

All of this years seed comes from a single wildly successful plant from last year.
The second picture shows some that self trellised up some sunflower potatoes. And even survived some prodigeous pruning by the neighbours. Third photo shows ones that are self trellising up some sunflower potatoes.

All pretty amazing how in a relatively short period of time these cherry tomatoes managed to adapt from intensive management to a nearly wild way of being, while still being super productive. Been eating cherry tomatoes every day for weeks.

I may end up collecting some for seed and selling them on my Etsy store as cherry tomatoes hardy to zone 5, cause many volunteered this year as well, they are visible in the first picture.

gotta love #HardyPlants-- we are only just getting some nights frost free now, but gardens are on at least 3rd wave of #flowers already!
