Reading through *Hard Wired Island* and lol the person who wrote it is so real. ACAB is the name of a literal perk lmao. It's nice having literal anti-capitalist stuff written into it, more explicit and modern than something like Shadowrun.

Rupert likes tech! Rupert is also kind of an idiot. Rupert is, technically, a tech industry reporter - but since he barely understands how any of it works, he more ends up a tech culture/work environment reporter instead. He has been blacklisted from multiple industry events for exposing ludicrous crunch times. He also regularly bricks his phone. Lord help him.

I ran twenty-one sessions of this system I'm allowed to have Opinions on it now.
The game is...it's a cool setting, but I'm a bit torn on it mechanically. Very simple and straightforward, which is nice, but a lot of it felt like a strange compromise between rules lite narrative and wanting to solve the Shadowrun Problem.
