Rather than using cyberpunk's economic inequality merely as scenery, _Hard Wired Island_ treats **labor** (and labour) as necessary-yet-insufficient for survival, and the marginalized (the characters) try to use technology to change an unequal status quo. Economic shocks mechanize financial pressure, but merely accumulating cash is never enough. Real change requires more extreme action.

Reading through *Hard Wired Island* and lol the person who wrote it is so real. ACAB is the name of a literal perk lmao. It's nice having literal anti-capitalist stuff written into it, more explicit and modern than something like Shadowrun.

By asking for external help, the missing tab has miraculously reappeared, problem was I was checking my RSS feed rather than tabs because it was an RPG.net forum thread.
Sharing because the work put into this is great. They really break down the hacking systems, the complexity, and how they play.

Last day to back Wetrunner, from the creator of Hard Wired Island. Like Island, it's a cyberpunk rpg that diverges from the standard grim aesthetic while leaning into the punk social commentary. In this case, that's a retro summer aesthetic while performing heists stealing fish status symbols from the rich!
