  1. Today we’re talking about #haori, the #kimono jackets that are our customers’ favorite. We personally select them from #Japan, and each piece is a unique vintage silk item.
    But what are haori?
A haori is a light jacket worn over a kimono. Originally, it was worn only by men, but women began wearing it during the Meiji period (1868–1912), and it became common in the Taisho period (1912–1926).

  2. The main differences between men’s and women’s #haori lie in the colors (bright and vibrant for women, dark for men) and the sleeve style: women’s haori have open sleeves, while men’s have closed ones.
Haori can be worn as a jacket or even as a shirt. They’re the perfect piece to wear daily, paired with Western clothes, to elevate and highlight your outfit.
    Did you know them?

C'est un #haori #羽織 de garçon tout simple, je l'aime bien.

  4. This is a large furoshiki, a Japanese wrapping cloth, used to wrap gifts or tied to create a bag. I've started adding furoshiki back onto the (link: wafuku.co.uk) wafuku.co.uk website.
