Hélène de Thoury (Minuit Machine, Hante.) kommt zurück

Hélène de Thoury war Keyboarderin und Songwriterin des französischen Synthwave-Duos Minuit Machine (mit Sängerin und Texterin Amandine Stioui) und ihres Solo-Projektes Hante.. Seit 2020 litt sie unter Tinitus und nach einer Covid-Erkrankung Anfang 2022 verlor sie ihr linkes Gehör, weshalb sie Ende 2022 das Ende ihrer musikalischen Karriere erklären musste. Amandine Stioui machte mit Minuit Machine alleine weiter und Hante. war damit Geschichte. Bis jetzt, denn Hélène de Thoury überraschte am 20.08.2026 mit einem Beitrag auf der Facebook-Seite von Hante., dem ersten seit mehr als drei Jahren. Sie postete ein Schwarz/Weiß-Foto von sich am Meer, wo sie mit ausgebreiteten Armen und dem Rücken zur Kamera steht. Das Bild war überschrieben mit „I’m back.“ und bekam viele erfreute und interessierte Kommentare.

Am 27.08.2026 postete sie an gleicher Stelle ein längeres Statement:

I think it’s time to be honest about how, and why, I’m coming back. 🦋

I’m not healed.

I’m still entirely deaf on my left side. The tinnitus is as loud as it was, and my whole inner ear is still not functioning and it takes a lot of my energy. It won’t change and that’s okay.

It just took me more than four years to adapt. To stop remembering what it feels like to hear in stereo.

I tried so many times to compose music again, but I just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t sing. I couldn’t properly discern the notes, the bass, the harmonies. Everything I used to do instinctively suddenly felt impossible.

And then, while going through another very dark time in my life, right in the middle of all the chaos… I did it.

I composed an EP.

Something I’m incredibly proud of.

I see it as a little miracle. And somehow, it feels like music is going to save me once again.

I’ve tried so many things over these past years (you actually wouldn’t believe it 😂) but I never found anything that made me feel the way I feel when I compose and play music.

This is my passion.

And even if everything is now five times harder, it’s worth the fight. It’s worth the struggle. It’s worth the constant reminder that I will never be the same.

As for the stage… I’m definitely not ready.

I think about it sometimes, though. And maybe, one day, I’ll find a way to make it work, just like I found a way to make music work again.

Retour à Deep Lake !

Deuxième partie de notre découverte du jeu PUBLIC ACCESS écrit par Jason Cordova et édité par The Gauntlet.
Et nous avons la chance de recevoir Gulix, le traducteur de la version française, pour nous faire découvrir les mystères de TV Odyssey.

Public Access est un jeu d’horreur analogique et nostalgique avec un système d’enquête émergent. Au fil de leurs découvertes, les joueurs vont être amenés à imaginer eux-mêmes la réponse au mystère. Ils incarnent les « Latchkeys » de Deep Lake qui reviennent dans leur ville d’enfance pour découvrir la vérité sur la disparition de l’étrange chaîne de TV locale, TV Odyssey.

Au programme : petit déjeuner copieux, suite de l’enquête à Escondido, découvertes étranges et résolution du mystère ! Sans oublier le visionnage d’une nouvelle VHS de TV Odyssey…

Tristeza enorme em saber que #hante (Hélène de Thoury) https://hante.bandcamp.com/ encerrou a carreira prematuramente em função da perda da audição de um ouvido em decorrência da Covid-19.
Vi seu show pouco antes da pandemia chegar ao Brasil. Além de talentosa letrista e compositora, ela é linda e atenciosa.
