Hans Reichel - "Dalbergia Retusa" (2026)

Bendy sound worlds. Weird and wonderful guitar music. Sort of reminiscent of Arthur Russell's cello+effects stuff, but hard to compare. Just super.

#NowPlaying Looks like the #TableOfTheElements reissue program is now underway. Originally released in 1993 as a 7-inch single, “Daxaphone” (Beryllium) by #HansReichel re-introduced the world to his style of improvised music. https://tableoftheelements.bandcamp.com/album/daxophone-1993

Hans Reichel may have passed away 12 years ago, but thanks to Ruffle Player, his 100% Flash website still works:

I don't know why, but his "Erdmännchen" (meerkats) page still makes me laugh. Click the buttons, hear various Daxophone squeaks as the little meerkat morphs
